Hi,
I was just wondering if this build is compatible or the chosen parts are well suited.
It will be primarily used for streaming and gaming. Also, do you have any recommendations to make it any cheaper?

Solution
Compatible, yeah. Well suited, no.
Flags:
1)Cpu cooler is quite weak for that class of cpu, which demands some big coolers.
2)Motherboard is a bit weak for that cpu in the area of power delivery. That cpu can slurp some power at times.
3)Carbide 175R. Careful with your cpu and gpu combinations if you really want this one. Airflow is not its strong suit, and will become a roadblock to what combos you can put in it.

It looks like your budget can't adequately cover the 10700K. The desire to get the build cost down when the selected cpu cooler and motherboard already aren't adequate is proof of that.
A better balance will be achieved by stepping down the cpu to an i5-10600K or i5-11400.

Thank you for the reply, I'll take a look a this. Please could you check my post again as I have updated the parts list (please let me know if it's compatible or not too, the build is for streaming and gaming)

Alright thanks, I adjusted my build to match yours slightly. What are your thoughts?

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/LjvdBc
Assuming the purpose of your build is for gaming and not heavy video editing then it's all about Frames Per Second which means you want the best graphics card possible for your budget. RTX 3060 > RTX 2060.

Next to Gigabyte, MSI has the best VRM's of all B560 boards (Mortars, Tomahawks & Bazookas). This board comes with built in wifi 6 and will allow you to run that cpu with the power limits turned off in the bios. It's a round a bout way of OC locked 10/11 gen cpu's seeing how it keeps them in turbo boost mode longer.

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/53730/msi-mag-b560m-mortar-wi-fi-motherboard
MSI MAG B560M Mortar Wi-Fi Motherboard $199

Unless you plan on playing MS Flight Simulator and/or running a ton of background apps while your gaming then an i5 is sufficient. The 11400/11400F trades blows with the AMD 5600x.

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/intel-core-i5-11400-6core-lga-1200-26ghz-cpu-processor-ac42594
Intel Core i5 11400 $329.00

This cpu cooler is more than sufficient for that i5.

https://www.amazon.com.au/quiet-Shadow-BK004-Cooler-Technology/dp/B084XYKDF4/
be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 CPU Cooler $91.00

If you feel the need for an i7 then look at this one. With this cpu you do want to size up on your cpu cooler such as a Dark Rock Pro 4.

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/intel-core-i7-11700f-8core-lga-1200-25ghz-cpu-processor-ac42589
Intel Core i7 11700F $499.00

16GB is plenty enough if this build is for gaming. 3200Mhz for Intel 10/11 gen cpu's is the sweet spot.

https://www.devicedeal.com.au/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2x-8gb-ddr4-3200mhz-mem
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 $115.80

RGB version of that RAM but again do whatever it takes to fit an RTX 3060 in your build .. which means cutting the fat wherever you can without sacrificing performance.

https://www.devicedeal.com.au/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-16gb-2x-8gb-ddr4-3200mhz
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 $131.00

And here's your RTX 3060. Note ... 550w psu for the 3060, 650w for the 3060 Ti and 3070. Something to keep in mind.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations and breakdown, I'll adjust the build accordingly, however, it is for gaming and streaming so I feel as if the 32gb of ram might be necessary and maybe an i7. I also wanted to ask if the 3060 you recommended is better than the Zotac card I have chosen, if so why? Thank you

I'm back 😎 Hopefully everyone on this thread gets bumped because you were all very helpful before

I just want to check if this build is compatible and am looking for suggestions if any of the parts should be replaced (for the better and for cheaper alternatives). I'm going to use this PC for Gaming + Editing + Rendering and I also want it to be future proof. Also I want to stick with intel, I'm loyal 🙏

The main concerns I have are with the CPU and GPU (of course)
I'm not sure if I should go with a Intel i7 12700k instead of the i9-10900k, I've seen that they're pretty simular ones just cheaper than the other? I'd love some other recommendations too
I also dont like to be using a Over clocked GPU out of the box, I don't really know too much about how that works so I'd appreciate some more info on that. But I'm set on getting a 3070
Also wondering if the CPU cooler is suffient for these CPUs?

Thank you for the help! I just want to make sure I understand 100% why the i7 is a better choice than the i9 (other than frame rate of course) is it a good option for future proofing aswell?

If you can spend 2600 dollars on a PC, I would hope you could find some way to avoid a 2 TB spinning hard drive.
