Is this build good for gaming

Assuming 1080p, you should be ok. I would, however, recommend upping the CPU to an i5 as many games prefer cores over threads. Many games require an i5 minimum.

Also, look into the 480/580 GPUs. If you're buying new, many times I've actually found them cheaper than the 470, strangely enough.

If you have all of that right now, don't worry, it should be fine for most games.
