I disagree. Sure, it has L3 cache but the 760K is WAY newer than the 4350. The raw CPU performance favors the 760K. Especially when overclocked.

Sorry I disagree the APUs are not a gaming platform they are for all around home use and office use not for above medium level gaming systems. With an AM3+ platform he can get better performance and has a better upgrade path. You can check the Tom's Hardware CPU Hierarchy chart there are no APUs on par with them. For the same price you can also get a FX-6300 if you want more cores.
