Is this build with the r9 390 good?

Solution
Also the r9 390 VS Gtx 970, the r9 is a clear winner, with over 1000 more shader units, twice the memory bus bandwidth, and its effectiveness when it comes to out scaling in performance with higher resolutions makes the r9 King.
This build looks cool but what monitor are u getting with it? and what about the os? Keyboard and mouse? wifi card? these other parts are needed for a pc build. Good Luck!

It's ok but the gtx 960 would probablly preform a little better maybe the 970

Good build if you ask me, better would be to upgrade the mobo to one that can take 2133mhz or 1866mhz, that would speed up performance. As for the card its pulling max 475W total of 40 amps, you have a 12v RAIL single on your PSU providing 50 AMPS, your CPU max would be around 100W so still only about 45amps max on that 12v rail at a time leaving you with 5 amps overhead.
Other then that the build looks solid and ready to go.

Monitor: Acer R240HY bidx
Wifi card: TP-LINK TL-WN881ND or TP-LINK Archer T1U Wireless AC450 Nano USB Adapter
Keyboard: CM Storm Devastator Or Redragon Karura
OS: Windows 8 Pro (Upgradable to Windows 10) or Windows 10

Can you help me decide?
Thanks for the response btw.

Thanks for the response!

Sounds good. I would recommend the Razer - Ouroboros mouse . it feels really nice and prevents arthritis

No the r9 390 is better than both cards and has 8gb vram as a bonus but it is hotter

Please get a SSD like this one. It will make your build so much better, Install your OS on the SSD and boom load times instant, faster file response, just better overall. it will help SIGNIFICANTLY, also you can put the large games with giant loading files on it, this will actually increase game performance and has been proven to do so, even if by 1-5% that is alot. also helps that you do not have 100hour load times in a game, for example fast travelling in games near instant, loading into areas near instant. loading maps near instant.

I would also windows 7 for gaming ATM, alot of issues with 10 and drivers, to be on the safe side windows 7. I stick with it no matter what, never has done me wrong or failed on me. plus nothing in the world if for free, especially from a company that charges 100$+ for a word program, windows 10 pays for itself, and anyone educated in the way the system works understands how its payed for.

if you cant get win 7 then stick with 8. give it a few months to work out alll the driver issues and compatibility problems atm.

Also as stated above, a MOBO that would take up to 2133mhz or 1866mhz would do you amazingly. the games coming out are requiring much more ram and faster speeds to be able to keep up with the cards, especially that one. even though its 8gb, best guess is that 4gb is virtual. more ram speed would help future proof your PC so when ready to upgrade more components you wont have to upgrade your MOBO then and you can save yourself money just by tossing in 30 or 50 more dollars for something thats really going to perform.

And the ram, 2133mhz is amazing, especially when you get to the point of taking care of the timings yourself.

Video ram doesnt affect performance in ANY way. and the r9 390s drivers are older. so older = worse

an ssd doesnt boost speed that much. With a hdd it only takes 2 mins for it to boot up which isn't a lot at all. You're probably going to be on your computer for 4 or more hours and 2 mins compared to that isnt a lot. Also if u r on windows 7 u cant play dx12 games and windows 10 in newer

The 390 is a tally a newer version of the previous chipset where they co.pletely reworked alot of it. It is the Hawaii gpu that was recently released along with the hbm, so it is a great card and it will out perform it's same class competitors regardless.

Especially at higher resolutions the Hawaii chip dominates it's predecessors

Also dx12 is just the 3d api, the current games like fallout 4 actually sometimes require you to run in win 7 compatibility because the direct 12 has issues. Not only that on a card like yours, you can use the 3d api mantle for games that support it.

Also support for dx12 will come out for 7 and 8 eventually.

There is not a single game I have trouble playing using direct x versions before 12, and i have the latest and newest games out.

They won't release a game only compatible with dx12 or else the game manufactory is going to lose marketing.

What about the Network/wifi card or adapter?

This Wifi card is a BEAST at streaming movies, shows, and adult vids. http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_itemdetail.aspx?itemid=1479527992&partno=C3Y4J&rid=90&origin=pla&gclid=CNPTgqWCsskCFQoVfgodH4wO4Q

This card is good

For a mouse I highly recommend a Red Dragon, Dont fall for the Razer and the brand, This mouse has
Perdition High-Precision Laser Gaming Mouse, 8-piece weight tuning set, user manual and drivers CD.

It is built for gamers by gamers - up to 16400 DPI (1000/2000/4000/8200/16400 DPI), 12000 FPS, 1000 Hz polling rate, 30G acceleration and an Avago sensor, Omron micro switches.

18 programmable buttons, 5 memory profiles each with distinct light color for quick identification, an 8-piece weight tuning set (2.4g x8), and over 16 million LED color options. (LED may be disabled)

Durable smooth TEFLON feet pads and contoured body for ultimate gaming control. High-end features including: 18 buttons, power button, pulsing light in 5 color modes, and 12 MMO programmable side buttons.

Supports Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP or later operating system. 5 memory modes with 16 million combinations. High-end 6ft braided-fiber cable with gold-plated USB connector for greatest durability and signal accuracy

The Braided wire is amazing, makes the device much more durable and the coating on the mouse gives amazing grip. This mouse alone destroys the "Razer" mouses, twice as high DPI, its changeable, its not wireless, so its ment for gaming, faster connection, less latency, the weight tuner system. and right now its ONLY 40 DOLLARS compared to a 100$+ Brand mouse.

As for wireless cards I need to know what are your current maximums on your internet speed? does your modem/router support 5ghz?

Also your monitor, what resolution do you plan on playing at? and what refresh rate is your monitor?

What about the Network/wifi card or adapter?[/quotemsg]

For Wifi, if you have dual band available, and are able to use 5g. For gaming I would definitely look into This guy. Supports up to 450mbs, 3 external antennas provide the best possible connection and the ability to utilize both bands simultaneously, 40 dollars, and it uses 1 PCI slot. the antennas are also interchangeable so you can buy bigger ones, you can buy extenders that will allow you to place the receivers where you like for the best performance aswell.

Hey um i would recommened getting the 750 ti 0r the 660 ti because its a ti card and ti are titans

He already bought the card, and the card he bought murders the 750 TI or 660TI in benchmarks
The r9 is a 209% performance increase over the 750 TI

I would recommend returning it for the ti cards because titan cards wreck amd cards. I have a 660 ti and i can run starcraft in max settings 60 fps easy. I also can play skyrim which is VERY hard too run because it is open world. Open world games run very well on my 660 ti and its cheaper. So ur paying less for a titan card. Why wouldn't u get that.

I am on a tight budget for a titan card. Titan cards do perform better than AMD cards. Can you help me pay the return shipping and the price difference for the titan card. I use to have a ti card and I could run chess on ultra at 15fps.

10 times cheaper than ur crappy unit. This is better. I have the 660 ti and was playing csgo at a whopping 200 FPS!!!!! the 390 is a lower number and is amd and not a titan
