[SOLVED] Is this cable compatible?

I’m replacing my 1080 ti with a 1070 ti . The 1080 has a 16pin connector while the 1070 ti has a 8pin. Is it ok that the other 8pin is left hanging. Here is a picture of the cable. https://ibb.co/1rDfp1T

That cable does not require both connectors to be connected. So, yes it is okay that the other 8-pin is left hanging.
