So, this is like my 4th thread on building a a custom gaming computer instead of buying a pre-made. I'm a complete beginner to building one and I've done some research to make sure that all my components are compatible, however just for verification I'll be asking you.

My questions are: Is this rig compatible, where would be the most effective place to install my extra fan and will my wireless adapter (PCIE) fit with my graphics card as the motherboard I am using only consist of 1 PCIE slot for wireless adapters.

My intended rig is to consist of:
Case: BitFenix Outlaw Mid Tower Case
- BitFenix Spectre 120mm Fan
MOBO: ASRock 970-PRO3 R2.0 Motherboard
CPU: AMD FX-8320 (8 Cores @ 3.5GHZ)
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 280 3GB
RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR3 8GB (2x4)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
OD: Lite-On IHAS124 24X
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W (HCG-620)
OS: Windows 8.1
WD: TP-Link TL-WN781ND (150Mbps)

I planned on putting my fan right next to the PSU facing upwards to support cool the ram and remove the heat coming from the GPU. Let me know what you think I should place it.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
The build should go together OK. Just check whether the graphics card will fit in the case - per their specs.

Use the fan if you want to. I'd try the setup without the fan to start with and see whether it's needed.

This cases should pretty much fit all graphic cards on the market I believe. It's apparently 303mm before it reaches the ODD cage and I believe the MSI R9 280 is 269mm in length. Thanks for the advice though.
