Is this CPU/Motherboard combo alright?

I need to upgrade my pc, it's running off a core 2 duo 2.5 ghz, a DTX motherboard (At least by my assumptions) "P5N73-AM" and 2 gigs of DDR2 RAM.
So I found this site for a shop that's close to me... Yes I live in Canada. I already did measurements for everything.
I don't do much hardcore gaming, have just been playing Borderlands, and a couple other games.

Processor:

AMD - Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz w/ 8mb cache

(I picked this one because it had sufficient speed, and since it is a black edition. And from what I understand, black edition means it isn't overclocked, correct?

Motherboard:

Asus - M4A88T-M/USB3 w/ Radeon HD 4250, DualDDR3 1333, 7.1 audio, Gigabit Lan, Hybrid CrossfireX, HDMI

(I will not SLI, or Crossfire in this build so that doesn't matter to me)

Memory:

Corsair vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit (2x4GB)

Tell me your thoughts, and any suggestions for what to change.

Black edition means that it is easier to overclock them as the multiplier is not locked. In system, base clock is 200MHz. Multiplier is used to get the proper CPU speed. For 3.2GHz, like your CPU, the base clock is multiplied by 16 (16 x 200MHz = 3200MHz or 3.2 GHz). Unlocked means that you can raise the multiplier to increase speed. So, going to, ie, 18, that will give you 18 x 200 - 3600 or 3.6 GHz. Sure, overclock stability will depend of many other thing like cooling and good power.

If you are just at casual gaming, you may have a look at the Fusion CPU by AMD like the a3850 and corresponding motherboard.
