Is this CPU Overclockable?

It's never a good idea to overclock a laptop cpu because of its heat. A laptop is already hot enough. To answer your question: It can overclock to 2.9ghz (max) using Turbo Boost.

So i was right when i said it was overclockable a few days ago then? (that other guy said no.)

Yes and no.

You cannot overclock that processor; atleast not manually. TurboBoost is not seen as overclocking to some; if you consider it as an overclock, then sure, it overclocks; but only to 2.9 GHz. No more, no less, and you do not control voltage; and it monitors it's own throttle.

However, it is not manually overclockable. You cannot access the multiplier. Nor the voltage. Nor the base clock.

The reason I don't think of it as overclocking is because it Turbo Boosts at stock settings. And like elemein said, "You cannot access the multiplier. Nor the voltage. Nor the base clock."
