The PC is £720/1028 euro. I'm worried about the motherboard, case, and hard drive.
Although I want to build my own desktop, given my location (Ireland), the current strength of the pound in comparison to the euro, and shipping costs; I've been having a difficult time finding good deals on individual parts. I'd still prefer to build my own, and I will continue to look for deals on parts as I still think I can save money by building it myself, but I'd just like to know how this PC holds up in terms of value. I would be adding an SSD to the PC if I were to purchase it, which would add roughly 100 euro/£71 to it (Samsung Evo 850 250GB)
My budget is 900 to 1300 euro, but I'd like to save as much as possible. I only require the desktop. Here is my current build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/gfxjMp.

They likely bought it in bulk/discounted. However it is poorly configured. The motherboard is shoddy in build quality, and is a poor choice especially paired with a 4690k. You wouldn't be overclocking it since they included no aftermarket cooler and even if you did you wouldn't get very far due to the poor thermal design. Also for a Z97 board it is limited in design and doesn't support proper sli/crossfore. The case is also quite small and it struggles to fit an a common cooler like the 212 EVO.

Here is a better system for the money:
