Is this gaming setup good for about $800?

My budget will be $800 and I'm just planning to buy an MOBO, Proc, gpu, PSU and ram
I don't need case because I have 1 which is cougar evolution and I also don't need mouse, keyboard and monitor.

Well I have planned my setup but If it's bad or just a waste of money just suggest something good and worth it

So here we go.

Planning to buy:
Intel core i7 3770k $350 (Which is people said i7 isn't necessary for gaming and i5 will be good so which is better. i5 3570k or That proc? And any advantages.)
Gigabyte z77-D3H LGA 1155 $120
Crucial Ballistix sport 1600 Mhz ddr3 8GB $47
Cooler master 80+ 650 watts $85
And lastly GTX 550 ti $130

A total of $732 Let say $750 for taxes )

So is it good? Is it worth it? But I'm still wondering about that i5 or i7..

i would go to the i5 3570K saving you about 115$

and put that on the video card so roughly 245

you could look at the gtx-560/6870/7850 class video cards which would probably be more balanced for you build

buy a 2600k i7 spend the saved money on a watercooler and overclock the crap out of it ive seen these go to 4.1ghz on air and about 5ghz watercooled
