Is this is a sign of a failing Wireless router?

I noticed recently that when browsing the internet using the laptop, which is connected wireless, is slow and I always need to refresh the browser, but this doesn't happen on my wired connected desktop which is also connected on the same router. The router is about 3 years old, Linksys WRT54GC.

Could this be a sign that the Wireless capability of the router is failing?

I wouldn't believe that it's a sign that it's failing. It's probably just normal wear and tear. I've seen access points like that last for 6 or seven years without a problem, with similar issues...
