Is this Legit software for temp monitoring?

im pretty OCD about my temps being normal and core temp was locking my system up so I downloaded this:

Is it legit software (not a virus?) and is it even accurate?

Yup, CPU-ID are legit. They also make CPU-Z, which is quite widely used.

Sure is, run it 24/7 on my media center.

Just note it may pick up some sensors that are not connected and thus give very strange readings(but be perfect on other boards. just so many boards on the market). For cpus and video cards cores it is quite good.

Yes its a very legit and trustworthy software, as a matter of fact it came bundled with my ASUS Z87 motherboard and its appears to be very accurate.

Thanks for all the answers guys I use it for my CPU and GPU so this seems to be my new favorite software!

PS. is 50c on all cores of an i5-3570k and 70c on a GTX 770 good while playing BF4 on ultra for about 30 minutes?
