Im going from a Gigabyte G1. Sniper Z87 to a ASUS b85mpro Gaming, since my Gigabyte motherboard is faulty. The ASUS motherboard was the best motherboard i could find where i live (Melbourne Australia). What's the differences between the two? Is the ASUS motherboard crap? Is the G1 Sniper better then the ASUS motherboard? I need some detailed information on the differences. Also another question how would someone repair a fried motherboard? I have an Intel 4790 CPU and is this new motherboard im getting able to overclock this CPU? (Socket 1150)

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your giga mobo still they're both great boards that have no problem staying cool.

I say the 'Pro Gamer'. It looks really nice, and supports OCing if you update the BIOS. It also has slightly better onboard audio, more VRMs and an extra heatsink.

You probably wouldn't notice the difference in audio, I just thought I'd mention it as it's a difference that exists, Asus board won't support any more 'different configuration options' though, they're very similar.

Thanks for the response man. Stupid me found out that my Gigabyte mobo has a 3 year warranty on it. I'm just going to keep the ASUS one in, lodge a return then sell the old one.
