Hello. I recently built my own gaming pc and im not sure if this is normal frame rates. On Just Cause 3 I am running around 45 fps with no anti aliasing and no vsync. I also have every other setting on high. My build is

Graphics card: MSI GtX 980
Motherboard: MSI z97 gaming 5
Processor: Intel i5 4690
RAM: 8gb or ram

Is the problem I dont have enough ram or what. Cause this graphics card is really good right? Shouldnt I be getting 60fps on high settings with no vsync or anti aliasing?

what is a windows driver? I just got the card today and I think i downloaded the latest driver. I went to nvidias website and put in my card info and it told me which one i should download. I got 161.91

windows has a set of drivers that they approve as the most stable via windows updates, and for the most part they are fine, but graphics drivers are constantly being updated and so the driver that windows will load is usually older and less responsive, the keyword with windows drivers is stability not performance.
nvidia writes all the updates for the drivers and put them on their site.

I believe the latest version is 361.91

when changing drivers, you will want to uninstall the current driver, reboot then install the new driver, reboot
if the driver from nvidia is not working, do you have the driver CD that shipped with the card? you could try that as a reference. it will be an older version, but it will work for testing.

All power cables are plugged into the card?

Yes all the power cables are plugged in. And also do I have to uninstall my last driver if I switched companies. I used to have an AMD GPU and no I switched to Nvidia. So i dont really know what I should do. And i dont know where to find my driver to uninstall it

yes the drivers can interfere with each other. I think that is the problem
go to control panel and remove the AMD drivers. reboot go into safe mode and remove them again if they are still there.
reboot into windows and remove the nvidia driver. the current one, reboot into safe mode make sure it is gone, and reboot into windows and re-install the nvidia driver. reboot and test the gaming performance

That didnt help. With no Anti Aliasing I run the game at 40-53 fps. I dont know why. This is the reason why I got a new video card. My last one did the same thing. No matter how much I switched up the settings the fps stayed the same. And I dont know why.

I literally just turned all my settings off and to the lowest and the fps stayed the same. What does that mean.
