Is this normal?

When I start up my computer, as Win2K begins, I get a short series of 4 little beeps, then the music and the OS opens. Is this sound normal?

I've never heard that before. And I deal with w2k boxes all day long. I can't even wager a guess what it is. Does it happen after you log in or before that?

Try hitting esc to clear the splash screen to see if you are getting a hardware error.
