Hello,

i have a pc with a r9 290, and a xeon x5650.

In general, would a ; GTX 1650 with a AMD ryzen 3 3200G get better performance in say for example: CSGO (if you could, maybe give some more examples in how much better/worse it would perform in different games, thanks in advance) , or Battlefield 5. note that i said in general, with that i mean in the perfect situation, (because of course there could be other things that could slow performance down). If it does get better performance, how much better would it be?

Csgo not so much but newer games using AVX instruction sets which your current CPU doesn't support, there will be improvements. However, it's not really ideal pairing an APU with a dedicated GPU where you're better off with an 1600AF/2600 or 3600. But if choice is set in stone for you then yes, as said above, 3200G be quite the improvement.

What does the rest of the system entail to match with the change?

For raw speeds those are almost the exact same systems.

You want a 1650 super at the least and a Ryzen 5 to be worth spending the money on changing systems.

I just went from an R9 290X to a 1060 in one of my computers and only saw a 10% gaming speed upgrade with a 4th gen i5, the 1060 is about 30% faster than the 1650 you are looking at. I did not upgrade due to speed issues, the 290X I had had loud fans and had some glitches so was time to replace it.
