Is this PC build the best it can be for $500?

My logic:
OP created this thread->OP has computer->OP has hard drive. Get it?
I also SPECIFIED in the post where I posted the latest i3 build that the computer i am working on didn't let me go on the Choose Memory page (a computer at the local library, they have good internet, but not-so good computers with an even not-so-good OS (Userful, don't know if you ever heard of it) so it keeps blocking the Choose Memory page for some reason), so I said INCLUDE THEM and add 74$ to the build..

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT? Some of the builds here have MAIL-IN REBATES! 75$, to be exact for your build. Now,go get a calculator and add the cost of your build plus 75$ to get the TRUE cost.
My build is 590$ WITH THE OS and yours is 591+75$.

Relax. Please.

Also your logic is flawed. The OP could be posting from a mobile device, or the drive could be IDE. Could also be posting from a library or a device that isn't their own. Assuming he is posting from a computer with a SATA hard drive The OP could also not want to give up his current drive and make his computer useless in order to build a new computer, assuming he has one hard drive in his computer.

1) I am on a laptop
2) Need full build
3) Price Range is 500-550 not over please( before mail in rebates please)
4) Going to use this to play games like CS GO, League of Legends, Call of Duty. And record, MAYBE stream.
5) I am fine with playing on medium-high quality on demanding games. I do not need ultra graphics. I am use to playing low quality every game I play and getting below 60 fps. So I don't need a beast right away.
6) Hopefully the system is upgradable for the future

If someone can make a final build meeting those specifications, that'd be amazing. But still thank you everyone for dedicating yourselves to helping!

Don't worry man, you guys have been amazing so far. Obviously people will disagree with stuff like AMD vs Intel, etc. You guys are really helpful!

I don't need to stream I guess, no. Sorry I didn't know that was huge. Im sorry. Just want the PC to be upgradable.

The the i3 would win here.

Ok, well that changes a lot of things. I'll post a build soon.

I might just get a capture card for the pc or something in the future. Just want to do basic recording. Not commentaries or something like that. I do tips and tricks, tutorials, etc.

1, Do you have a spare hard drive?
2, With what device are you posting here (phone, tablet, your computer, other guy's computer)?
3, If the answer to question #2 is your own computer, are you willing to reuse the hard drive in the new build and thus render the existing computer useless (until you can add another hard drive)?

If the answer to questions #1 or 3 are yes, tehn you're good to go with my build.

I do have a desktop pc. I don't know if the hdd is good quality though. The PC is an HP Pavillion from Walmart xD

It has Windows 8 on it, so if I reuse that hdd, would the Windows be ok?

I would rather spend the extra 40 dollars just to be safe. The hdd is 500 gb anyways.

This should work until you can upgrade:

If you can make do with 4GB of ram, you could upgrade the graphics card.

Yeah, but for my first build, having fresh parts is my goal. I don't want to make my other desktop useless either. I would be fine adding a 40 or 50 dollar hdd. But thanks for trying to save money.

Is the second PC upgradable? Like if I wanted to get a better cpu? Any other thoughts on this build? Thanks for it!

Don't worry about the operating system. I will take care of that. I just want the parts of the build.

What do you recommend?

Should be able to max out all the games you play and you won't have to upgrade for a while.

If you wanted it cheaper, you could downgrade to a G3258 and still max out the games you play.
