that is a new mainboard because the old one end up burned, so 30 minutes of use, that is why he is selling it, sounds like a risk to me

remember that if he is showing you the bios, that doesn't guarantee the gpu, take with you a linux distro that uses desktop acceleration, to at least see if it gets to open internet and see how responds under some load

it is a lot of money and a bit weird offering to me
i'd say try to talk the guy down if possible but if you were to pay 350 it wouldnt be a bad deal really. the gtx 670 isnt going to blow your hair back though. you might quickly notice it may not be up to your gaming standards depending on the resolution you will play games at. even 1080p would be a struggle with newer games

how lightly used is your definitely of "lightly used"?

i wouldn't be wary of it at all. CPUs rarely go bad unless you're doing something way dumb over a long period of time with it. if you happen to know the guy and he seems ok, you will be fine. only used things you should never buy are hard drives, ssds, PSUs and probably motherboards.

Pretty sure I've not seen an uglier board in years. That opinion aside it is worth the asking price as long as the OS is pre-installed and working. Oh, and now I see it doesn't come with a HDD so of course it doesn't include an OS. As the part list stands I would not buy it. I have a 4690 and it's a bleeping good CPU. THe 4670 isn't too far behind so that's an okay draw but with the 670 (released 2 years before that CPU) lagging well behind I'd not recommend those parts for anywhere near $350. Not even for $100. No thank you.

he never said it comes with a storage device. the 4670k is the one i'd take over a 4690...with the whole ability to overclock it and all...

and saying its not even worth $100??? this is just plain bad advice. the CPU is worth probably $150-200 and the board another $50 at least, i personally think it's an OK looking motherboard. i'd take an understated motherboard over all the RGB GAMING ANGULAR HEATSINK FTW nonsense that's coming out these days....

I agree the CPU alone is worth about 150. Without an ability to confirm it working? That lowers its value imo. I do have the K version with the MSI Z97 PC Mate. So yeah with the rest of the parts it's worth more than $100 but I'd not pay anything.

True, all the bling in the world isn't going to steer me away from what really matter. I was harsh in my assessment but I also wouldn't take any chances with those parts especially with the 670.

oh i forgot to mention it comes with psu evga 600w
they are parts no case but the buyer said he can get me to the bios just to confirm that things are working :)

he said the motherboard is only used for 30 min which is a little weird but i think it is just a build that never saw the daylight.

yeah it has no hdd but he can open the bios for me to check that stuff is working. else i dont really mind the look and i checked the prices on ebay they seem to be around that so i think 100$ is a little low for it 😀

he said he will get me to the bios to confirm everything will work . also he mainly want to sell it as a whole not separated :)

That helps:). $300.

Sell the 670 for no less than $50. Replace it with a 4GB 1050ti or better.

There are Linux distros that you can use straight from the disc. Linux live or something. You can try it out instead of installing. Don't even need a HDD.
