So my computer has 4 RAM slots (2 banks of 2), and I'm going to upgrade my RAM.
Right now I have 2GB in 2 slots (4GB total), and I know I if I have 2GB ram in one slot, I should also have the same 2GB in the other slot, just like the way it came with.
But does this apply to the banks (if that's even what they're called) as well? Can I have 2 slots with 2GB and one with 4GB or should I just get 2GB RAM to each of my other 2 slots?
Not sure if I was confusing...
So do I have to do 2x2 + 2x2 (8GB total) or can I go with 2x2 + 1x4 (8GB total)?
In case I wasn't clear about the banks thing, I found it here: http://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory/product.asp?ProductID=67640
Thanks in advance!
