Will that PSU be good enough for all my components?

People are telling me go between a 700w-1050w and others saying that 550w psu is more than enough for your system.? "550w is more than enough for that setup, as long as it's a quality unit. He'll even have quite a bit of headroom. Haswell and Maxwell don't draw a lot of power.?"

Help guys, i'm on a $800ish/over $850ish budget. And don't want to make any wrong decisions.

Yes so you shouldn't be overpaying for an unlocked i5 processor. That way you lose extra money for basically no reason. Also, did you know that DDR4-2800 RAM speed can win you up to 15 fps consistently in open world games, compared to DDR3-2133? The H97 is limited to DDR3-1600, so imagine the difference. A locked i5, along with a cheap Z170 for unlocked RAM speeds past 2133 will get you the best...

Yes i know that the board won't OC. But i really don't see a need too. And i will be changing the SSD to the Samsung 850 EVO 120GB

If i go i5-4690k on the the ASRock H97M PRO4 with a GTX 970 will i be losing any performance other then overclocking the CPU??

1) You'll be limited to DDR3-1600 RAM, which will put you a big leap behind DDR4-2800 or higher (I regret this decision)
2) The i5-6500 is likely to be just a bit faster, even though the i5-4690k is clocked just a bit higher, Skylake overall is faster
3) If you think you can save money with H97, DDR3-1600 RAM then take the i5-4590 processor instead of the 4690k. The premium price of the 4690k is because you can overclock it. I'm sure the i5-4460/4590 are way cheaper for you whilst performing roughly the same.

I get it now, thanks. Check the link.

I'm going 120GB for a fast boot and speed up the OS a bit... maybe slap Skyrim on it since it's full of load screens... I have a 1TB WD 7200 RPM for mass storage

That was one worry I was having was not seeing any other hard drive other then the 120 ssd. If you want to speed this up just a bit more, and this can be done later on just to add a small improvement, is to get another small 120 ssd and use it as a cache drive. So instead of your game running hard on a standard 7200 RPM platter drive it can load the data while your using it into the second ssd improving proformence. I belive the AsRock board has the chipset for this.
