Is this PSU powerful enough?

So about a month ago i built my first pc. I originally had an FX 4300 and an r9 270x, but i wasn't pleased with the FX 4300, so i just ordered an FX 8350.
My question is if my PSU is powerful enough for an FX 8350+r9 270x?
My PSU is the EVGA 500W.

Wattage wise, yes. Quality wise, it's poor. It's tight, headroom wise, and that's where quality comes in picture. This PSU isn't designed to take high loads continuously, I'd upgrade to be on the safe side, why risk a $160 CPU (or GPU) for a $40 PSU?
