I am building a secondary rig for my parents out of some used parts that I got for free, I would answer this myself but I am iffy about my knowledge on older AMD hardware.
The CPU is a Phenom II X4 965 BE which I plan to OC to about 4ghz, and I am planning to grab a used R9 280/X to couple with it, I know it will be slightly bottlenecked in some games but from what I read it should still be fine. Anyways, I found a deal on a XFX 550W psu for $20 which I think is a good deal for that unit and want to know if I can scrape by using it with the overclocked phenom which I know is a fairly power hungry card.
TLDR: Can a Bronze Quality 550W XFX PSU be able to handle an OC'd 965 and a non OC'd R9 280/280X safely?
