I have a GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 2.0)

Will it run on my board and if i buy another stick down the road will it dual channel?

That RAM should work on your board, even though it is not specified in the Gigabyte QL.
Just be sure that you are running an AM3+ CPU to support it fully (though I am sure that you are already).
Yes, when you purchase another stick down the road, you should then operate in dual channel.
