Hello dear forums!

I need your help, ASAP.

Im building a new rig and i just want to know if the parts are compatible, list below:

Case: NZXT S230 White
GPU: MSI GTX1070
MotherBoard: MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK
CPU: I5-6600
That Power Thingy: SilentiumPC Vero L1 600W
Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb (2x4gb)

I really need a quick answer, sorry if its in the wrong catergory

Thanks Everyone!

"That Power Thingy" is probably the most important part of a gaming PC, it powers everything and spends long periods at high load. It is also the one component that if it fails can destroy the rest of the PC.

The one you have chosen is low quality. A gaming build really needs a high quality unit to work well and protect against possible damage. Which country are you buying from, someone will be able to recommend a PSU locally available.

I second what sizzling has said. PSU is the number one thing you do not want to skimp on with regards to quality. Name brand is an absolute must. I learned from my first build that using an offbrand PSU wasn't a good idea and my computer kept shutting down repeatedly during games, and that was a 650w PSU powering a 560ti in 2011. I replaced it for a higher quality PSU and never had any issues since.

You may pay a little more but it's absolutely worth it knowing that your components are protected with a superior PSU.

No. The motherboard requires DDR4. There are a couple DDR3 Skylake motherboards out there, but DD3 is NOT recommended by Intel to use, in fact you should use DDR3L with those boards.

Either way in this case the board is DDR4 only (and there are no boards that take both).

Regarding the PSU I agree, that one is junky, get yourself a Seasonic, EVGA, SuperFlower, XFX, Antec.

Ok didn't know that, my bad. Learned something new today

The Antec VP is a decent PSU. Its not great for overclocking, you should consider a Corsair RMx, EVGA G2, or Seasonic G Series, since you are getting an overclocking board. They all have good 550 watt units, which is more than enough power.

Is the motherboard a terrible choice if im not planning to overclock? And Im planning to save up a few pennies so i changed the case to this one: https://www.morele.net/obudowa-silentiumpc-regnum-rg1w-pure-black-midi-tower-czarny-spc153-774109/

I live in Poland so the price of that case feels just right, and that box actualy doesnt look that bad after all

Its a good board but if you are not overclocking then its overkill. You can get an H170 or B150 board which will work fine and be cheaper. If you do that, make sure you get the i5-6600 instead of the 6600k, the 6600 should be cheaper and is not overclockable.

ive actualy put 6600 but in the configurator there is 6500, does it change a lot or it can remain in its current state?

Also, is the case fine with the motherboard? what about that power-thingy? There seems to be a special place for hard drives and power in that chamber located on the bottom, will the antec fit there or i have to change that aswell?

No not at all the motherboard you have is great. I was offering you an option to save a few bucks since the main feature of that board is its ability to overclock, so if you're not doing that, you may as well save a few bucks and get a cheaper board.

Just in case, i'll ask one more time 😀

The (most likely) final version of the rig will looks like this

Case: SilentiumPC Regnum RG1W Pure Black
CPU: I5-6500 (may switch to 6600, maybe even with K version, i'll make the choice directly before the purchase)
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X
Motherboard: MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK
PowerThingy: Antec VP 500W
Ram: Kingstone HyperX 8 gb (2x4gb) DDR4

So, everything works fine? Even if i'll change it to the K version of the cpu? 😀
