And imma upgrade the gpu to the 1050ti im probs only gonna play like gta v pubg
And sidenote imma overclock the cpu to 3.0-3.2 most probably so is this system still worth or should i upgrade?

I will tell you my experience when I went from Q9550 to pentium G3258 just for fun. It is an older quad core vs new dual core (without HT). Pentium was basically equal to it in cinebench, which really does not matter much in your case, but in gaming my FPS almost doubled. Those 2 cores were really fast compared to Q9550. So yes, an i3 would be a big upgrade for gaming over Q6600. And it even has HT, unlike the abovementioned Pentium. You can also get Pentium G4560 or 4600, they are also 2 cores with HT, same as i3 basically, for substantially lower price.
It depends. It certainly *can* play everything, but you will get very, very different results depending on the game(s) you play; the ones limited by GPU performance will do just fine, but the ones limited by CPU performance, especially due to bad optimization (like PUBG) will struggle in certain areas. Heck, even much faster CPUs can struggle in this game, it really needs some polishing for better CPU utilization. On most titles you should be fine, though, especially if you don't mind lowering the details in some titles.

Q6600 is very old and would not cut it for modern games.
If your RAM is DDR3 then upgrade CPU and MOBO.
You can find 2nd hand bundles, get i5 2/3/4xxx series. All are very similar performance.

Even at 720p? Well ram wise i have 8gb there and gonna buy an extra 8 so a total of 16 and

Game wise is the 6600 still as good as the 4170 or no (figured i can bump the cpu to 3.2) and no this was my second system i built back in 2014 then quit gaming then came back so its not oem

Thats my scores, but only thing thats Q6600 missing are the instructions SSE4 etc.
That brings newer generation ahead.I had G3220 and i had same experience with Q6600, but as i managed to overclock to 3.0 Q6600 was faster a bit 🙁

Ahhh i see so evem an oced q6600 wont beat a newer dualcore even without HT so i guess il just rebuild a systemand not just upgrade this eh?
Oh and edit: i do care about cinebence and Aesthethicc benchmark because i create basic montages and layout for my school
