Is the SSD with the model name MZ7PD128HAFV-0BW00 the regular Samsung 840 Pro or some OEM version?

There are many variations released , doesn't look like a fake.
Run the Magician Software it can tell if it's real.

The model you asked about is a Samsung OEM version made specifically for Dell. It may have more or fewer features than the standard consumer retail model of the 840 Pro. Sometimes the OEM versions wind up being sold at sites like Amazon and ebay. There are quite a few Samsung ssd's on ebay that were OEM bulk purchases by Dell and Lenovo.

Samsung controls about 50% of the entire ssd market - OEM, Enterprise, and Consumer. The bulk of the sales are OEM versions sold under contract to a variety of pc companies - Dell, Lenovo, Apple, Sony, and many others. Each OEM model for each pc company has a different model number, different Samsung product number, and different SKU number. As a result there are quite a lot of model numbers.

There is another problem. If a consumer purchases an OEM version at a retail site, then Samsung will not honor the warranty. The reason for that is the pc company that made the bulk purchase is responsible for the warranty which will be the same as the pc it was installed in. Those warranties are usually only for one year instead of 3 or 5 years.

Johny, I looked around a bit and this is not the OEM you are referring to, the OEM version is MZ7PD128HAFV-000D1, but the one above ends MZ7PD128HAFV-0BW00, which are different

OK Guys, I think that the MZ7PD128HAFV-0BW00 is not OEM, but it's how Samsung name this SSD for the Europe area, rather than the Americas (That's what I believe), because everything looks like a regular 840 PRO (Firmware, label, speeds and more)

Very weird response from Samsung: "We only deal with MZ7PD128BW, the consumer level SSD", but you can see by the photo this is your product, don't you have a clue about what you're making? lol

Just download Samsung Magician like Blackbird said, it will say wherever it is legitimate or not within 10 seconds of running it, I'd also cover the S/N up or take down the photo.

This photo is not of the the actual SSD, it's just a photo I found on Google when looking for that HAFV-0BW00,
By the way, why it's important to cover the S/N? (If it has something to do with warranty then it doesn't matter because the one I'm interested in has no more warranty)

Simplest way to tell: Does your serial number on the bottom of the unit, NOT THE BOX, have 15 digits, starting with a S and ending in a letter, or does it have 14 digits, starting with a S and ending with a number?

15 digits - Retail unit covered under warranty

14 digits - OEM unit, not covered. (unless its an 470 or 830 since they used 14 digits serial numbers.)

What region are you in? Did you contact US support? Did you give them the 15 digit serial number? Also, if you did speak to US support, did you give them MZ7PD128HAFV-000D1 or the other one?

Yep, contacted the US support, gave them the MZ7PD128HAFV-000D1, they had no idea what this is, but haven't given them the serial number, but if I try with that one they will find something? The region doesn't matter because I found that on eBay, and they kept recommending "do not buy SSDs from eBay"

That's prob why they turned you away. MZ7PD128HAFV-000D1 is an OEM product from a Dell system. Samsung doesn't support OEM products.

Buying from eBay voids the warranty since the warranty is only for the original purchaser and is not transferable.

I understand that.

What I am asking is what you told Samsung support when you spoke to them. If when you spoke to them, you gave them 000D1, they would turn you away because its OEM.

Since you have a retail one ending in BW, call them back and give them the Serial Number.

I gave them the HAFV-0BW00, and I have serial for it, not the BW, It's a HAFV-0BW00 with a consumer serial number, as you said.
I didn't tell them the serial number yet, only the model HAFV-0BW00, will try again and now with the serial numbe
And the HAFV-0BW00 looks exactly like the BW, and not the OEM (in termans on color, sticker, details on it etc)
