I mean, if you bought this brand new and it wasn't second-hand product with reduced price, and if you cannot adjust the backlight down to an acceptable level then - depending on your whereabouts (Sweden?) I'd recommend try to get a refund on this purchase.

Looks similar to my old PG279Q which was pretty notorious for it. On a cheaper monitor, it is acceptable. But if you paid more then say 200 or 300 Euro, then you can do better buying a new gaming monitor.
