Is this Used Pc Any good?

So i saw a deal on a local site about a used build and i wanted to ask if it is any good for its price.
I5 2500k
8gb HyperX Ram
Gtx 970 Gpu
Z77 motherboard
Corsair 200r case+fan controller.
The Psu was a good 80+ brand just cant remember it.
And the price for it was 500$

hmm yes its good for the money, hence it seems sus. idk maybe the cpu will bottleneck the other components

It's good but I wouldn't pay $500. I'm UK based but $400 seems more the maximum I would pay. It has no upgrade path and for $600 you could build a modern entry level gaming pc with great upgrade options.

CPU will still run all games, it won't manage 60fps in the latest cpu heavy games but should stay above 30-45 which is decent. The 970 is still good for 1080p 60Hz and will run games on high setting or better. 8Gb RAM is now low end with some games recommending 16gb.

Because its an old cpu socket and DDR3 RAM there are no good upgrade options so if you buy it use it as it is, don't sink more money into old technology.

At $500 you can spend an extra $100 ($600 total) and get something that performs similar but has much better upgrade options as its modern.

For the same price you can get a similar new build. So not that great value.
