I am planning to replace my thermal paste on my cpu (AMD ryzen 5 1600) that came with the cooler and the only other thermal compound i have is unick silicone heat transfer compound and i would like to know if it is trusted and will last long
How long have you had it?I am planning to replace my thermal paste on my cpu (AMD ryzen 5 1600) that came with the cooler and the only other thermal compound i have is unick silicone heat transfer compound and i would like to know if it is trusted and will last long
It is generic thermal compound. It will work, probably less efficient than the original. Spend a few $$$ and wait until the PC quality product arrives, IMO.
How long have you had it?
Why not just get some new? It’s not exactly expensive.
Any will be fine, use Noctua myself but they’re all within a few percent of each otherI've had it for about 4 months but i touch the bottom of the coller by accident while installing it but didnt think it was a problem since hardly any compound came off.
and i plan to buy others as you suggested so will the CoolerMaster MasteGel Maker with 11W/m.k thermal conductivity last for at least 6months?
