I am planning to replace my thermal paste on my cpu (AMD ryzen 5 1600) that came with the cooler and the only other thermal compound i have is unick silicone heat transfer compound and i would like to know if it is trusted and will last long

Solution
It is generic thermal compound. It will work, probably less efficient than the original. Spend a few $$$ and wait until the PC quality product arrives, IMO.
How long have you had it?

Why not just get some new? It’s not exactly expensive.

I've had it for about 4 months but i touch the bottom of the coller by accident while installing it but didnt think it was a problem since hardly any compound came off.

and i plan to buy others as you suggested so will the CoolerMaster MasteGel Maker with 11W/m.k thermal conductivity last for at least 6months?

Any will be fine, use Noctua myself but they’re all within a few percent of each other
