Is upgrading from gtx 970 to gtx 980ti a good upgrade?

Hello i have an msi gtx 970 4g gaming edition and i want to upgrade to the msi gtx 980ti lightning edition is it a good upgrade?

As long as your PSU can deliver 600W of power to the entire system after dropping in a GTX980Ti, you're good to go. The 980Ti is 1 tier above the 970. How much are you having to pay for the pseudo new GPU?
