Is Windows 8 Defender enough to keep my computer safe?

Windows Defender is a built-in anti-spyware and anti-malware program included in Windows 8, it is not that proficient as compared to the other third-party anti-spyware applications that are specifically designed and developed for the purpose. In simple words, Windows Defender is not enough to keep the Windows 8 computer safe and secure from malware and spyware.

Enabling or disabling Windows Defender after installing any other third-party anti-malware or anti-spyware application depends on the administrators’ individual preferences, or on the security policies that the organization in which they work has.
