isn't there any way to confirm that it's compatible? I know the Xeon cpu i mentioned works with Socket 1155, but does it work with all of them?

Socket is one thing.
Motherboard BIOS is quite another.

Not on the compatibility list?
Not gonna work.

Unless you can find some other system out there with that exact combination, and how, specifically, they did it.
