Isolate driver startup to individual account

I'm using softxpand and multiseating 3 accounts. I only want my firewire driver to start when I log into my main account. When the other user accounts login, the computer tries to intialise the driver and it crashes. Is there any way to manage what drivers startup when a user logs on? Thanks for any help. It's a PITA.
