I just installed a new NAS (Ugreen DXP 4800 Plus) and while originally I had no issues discovering it on my PC, now I can't connect to it, despite it being all connected up via a switch in between, and the app saying it's online and working properly. The only thing I changed is I plugged it in to the other ethernet port on the NAS itself, as originally I just plugged it into the 2.5Gbps one just to see if it ran, and now replugged it to the 10Gbps. Now when I click on "browse" in the wizard for setting up a server location, the sever does show up, but when I click on it, it just loads for a while before saying it can't connect to it.

Moving to 10GE, means the MAC address changed. That means the IP address changed. Have you checked on what the IP is?

Where is the router? Make and model?

What is the requirement for a switch - most commonly a switch is used when the router (or modem/router if combined does not have enough network ports for all of your wired network devices.

Connectivity should be as so where ------> represents an Ethernet cable:

ISP === (Coax, DSL, Fiber) ===> Modem ---- > [WAN port] Router [LAN port] -----> [LAN port] Switch [LAN port] ----> NAS

With other router and switch LAN ports serving other wired network devices.

The NAS should also be assigned Static IP address that will not change. Otherwise the NAS may "disappear" again until other devices know what IP address to use.

Feel free to edit and correct my line diagram to show your network, Or just create you own sketch to photograph or scan. Then post that sketch here via imgur (www.imgur.com > green "New post" icon).

Include device make and model information. List wireless devices as well.

The IP has probably changed, but then how do I go about changing that in file explorer itself?
I would recommend using the web interface to the NAS and assigning a static IP address. The address of a NAS should never change.
To find the IP address, look at the clients list in your router which should have the DHCP address assigned.

I have the IP in the app, but again what do I do to actually fix the issue?
