Hi, I recently purchased a new Motherboard and CPU. the rest of the hardware is from my previous build. I have gone from using Intel to AMD and have switched to a Ryzen 7 1800x with a Asus Crossfire Hero VI for my motherboard. The RAM is from my Previous build, Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 4x4GB 3000MHZ CMK16X4M4B3000C15.

The Issues I get is when ever I set it to DOCP Standard which sets the DRAM Frequency to 3000MHZ my machine will fail to POST and the RAM will get reset back to 2133MHZ. I can set it to DOCP 1 which sets the DRAM Freq to 3000MHZ as well and my machine will Boot fine, but then my CPU temp will idle at around 55°C-57°C and then ramp up to 70°C-77°C when doing simple tasks.

I have looked online and from the information I can gather it might be that fact that my RAM isn't compatible with RYZEN CPU'S. I wanted to just verify this with you guys and maybe get solution to my problem.

List of Components:
AMD Ryzen 7 1800x
Asus Crossfire Hero VI
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 4x4GB 3000MHZ CMK16X4M4B3000C15
NVIDIA GTX 980 Asus Strix Model
Corsair H1000i
2X WD HDD
2x Corsair SSD
1x Samsung SSD

This nr doesn't lead to a part.

Do you have the latest bios? Or at least the next (the truly last one is a beta version),

Version 3502 from 2018/01/30
Ryzen can still be finicky with ram so you could try 2933mhz and the ram timings for 3000mhz by setting them manually.

The next might give the right partnr for the ram,

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "short text report",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
copy by clicking "copy to clipboard" and rightclick+paste in your next respons
The last sentence is not truly necessary, the ram partnr is the most important.Otherwise might cpu-z (freeware) have it under the spd tab.

I updated the BIOS straight away before installing the OS, its currently on Version 3502. Specs below.
