I tried to install an ATI Radeon R9 270x GPU on my desktop computer to test whether it worked or not. In doing so, I disabled the drivers for my on-board graphics adapter, which is a Radeon 3000. The R9 didn't work (it had all kinds of crazy stuff come up during boot). I tried to revert to the driver for the Radeon 3000, but it didn't work. In device manager, it says that my display adapter driver is Radeon 3000. But when I go to advanced display settings from the control panel, it says that my driver is the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I am running Windows 10. Here are some screenshots:

Well, for some reason the screenshots aren't working. The links are:

There is ONLY ONE Windows 10 driver for the HD2xxx-3xxx-4xxx series of Radeons, and it is not available for download from AMD. It is only available from WindowsUpdate and dated 1.13.2015. It does not support Catalyst Control Center or any other AMD control panel, so if you want to adjust settings such as AF or AA I suggest using RadeonPro. Once the settings are adjusted to your liking, they will persist even if you then uninstall RadeonPro.

Alternately you could download and install the Windows 8 driver from AMD which usually works but is untested and unsupported in Windows 10.

There is little point installing the R9 driver because it will not fix it. Artifacting before Windows even loads means bad vRAM.

Hi

Remove all drivers reboot than look for the ATI folder in C:/programs remove only the ATI folder.

Than check device manager see what it

If you need to disable or change the setting in the BIOS to reflex the GPU being used change it.

Than download this
