Been building my own PCs for years but having difficulty with this one. Components include:

  • ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-PRO WiFi 6E LGA 1700(Intel 14th &13th&12th Gen) ATX Gaming Motherboard
  • Intel® Core™ i9-14900KF New Gaming Desktop Processor 24 cores
  • EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming, 12G-P5-3657-KR, 12GB GDDR6
  • Corsair RM850e Power Supply
  • Corsair Vengeance DDR5 Ram 32GB (2x 16GB)
  • Samsung 990 EVO SSD 1TB Drive
  • Enermax ligmax III 360 Radiator
Check all component compatibility with PC Part Picker and it said it was all compatible (Including my old case)

So, I get everything installed, boot it up and it only boots up into CMOS. Can't get my previous HD to work or my CD drive to open so I can try and install the OS. I've connect both the main power bus along with one of the auxiliary 8 pin power cords. without the 8 pin, it would not even boot to CMOS, but with it, it now boots to CMOS. Plugged in the 2nd 8 pin auxiliary power and no change, still only boots to CMOS.

What can I be missing?

Thank you - I will try to install OS from flash drive.

Note: I will follow up on any and all ideas, but it might be a day or two until I can implement. Working from home this summer and computer is at work but will go in tomorrow and bring it home to work on.
