I seem to be having trouble with video playback. It started with Netflix, but now I'm seeing it in videos for games in the steam store too. Youtube doesn't seem to have any issue. It seems to go away if I switch from realtek audio to the audio on my motherboard and through my monitor speakers. Turn realtek back on and the audio problems come back on immediately. Any ideas???

generally, you have to look up your motherboard specs find out what chip it is using on the motherboard for the Realtek sound chip. then go to Realtek and get the updated driver.
the drivers are under the chip number so you have to know either the name of the installed driver or the chip number on the motherboard.

here is a very common chip on a lot of motherboard but it is best to look up your motherboard and see what the chip is.

they update their website a few days ago.

you have to hunt around for the drivers now. kind of hard to find and not all of the driver chip numbers are listed

most likely going to be one of these https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/advanced-search/74?Itemid=276
you have to look up your motherboard specs and see what sound chip is on your motherboard. then install the driver that matches the chip number
