issue with the cpu

so i have the fx 6300 6 core none clocked, and it has shown terrible perfomance compared to all reviews and perfomance videos out there somthing is afffecting it and i need to figure out what before i can upgrade the other componants of my rig are:

500w psu
16gb of 1300mhz ddr
geforce 660
asus m5a78l-m motherboard

an example of hwat i am talking about is in terms of gaming by all acounts this system should run call of duty ghost fine at between 60-70 frames but my system cannot run it at more than 25 frames with aero disabled

First thing, maybe your cpu is overheating, you can check it with HW Monitor

The 660 is capable of 60fps on higher settings on ghosts. I would definitely assume it's something to do with the cpu. You should overclock it to begin with, and invest in a fan (212EVO will do the trick). It must be a bottle neck or being throttled due to heat, which could be due to bad contact on your cpu cooler.

yer i figured somthing like that so ive order a better than stock cooler and some better case fans but think there may be a greater issue if u have any other suggestions?

Only thing i would check right off the bat is that all drivers are updated. Go ahead and install a program like:

And monitor temps when in-game. If they get too high the cpu will throttle down speed (=lower frames) until it cools itself down.

upgraded the cpu cooler and temperatures have lowed by about 8c but am still getting the the performance issues now viewing twitch stream ramp it upto 70% usage
