Issue with upgrading computer

I recently upgraded an old computer and now it won't even start up for more then 2 seconds because shutting off, could i get some help with this

sorry i'm clueless when it comes to this <mod edit>, was going to upgrade it with a:
2x2 adata ram
amd phenom II x4 980 3.7ghz
and a new 550 power supply

i had a same link wiht all my computer info but info disappeared after i started makign all the changes

But seriously with all the random <mod edit, again> i've probably donein my computer to try and get this to work it's probably easier to just take it to some <mod edit> and pay him to figure it out, sorry having a bad day

Man! That graphics card brings back memories.. When I was a youngin, (still am) I had a 8800GT, a whopping 112 CUDA Cores.

but doesn't the mobo support am3? i thought this cpu was am3?

go to the asrock link, it listed what cpu are supported.

main reason is 980 tdp 125W, the motherboard only support up to 95W.

k, thanks for the answer. Only issue is that the cpu i bought was from some buy i drove out a bit to buy
, it's still a valuable one so maybe i can sell it again
