Hello I'm having a problem updating my H61M-P23 (MS-7680) motherboard. I'm currently on bios version 17.3. I'm trying to update to the new version 19.2 but when I try to flash the bios, the bios still says its at version 17.3. When you go to download the driver it supports up to windows 8.1, but im on windows 10. Here is the link to the website https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H61MP23_B3.html
Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Try a different way then.

download the official BIOS in this thread
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165937.0

and use this tool to make a USB stick to flash the BIOS
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=116721.0

You will need to make a forum account to get access to the attached files in those threads.

Or if the BIOS has a flashing utility in the BIOS, you can just dump this file they attached (E7680IMS.S30)to a FAT formatted USB stick in the root directory and access it from there.

Hello thanks for your reply. I only get one file in the zip file named E7680vJ2 in the folder. When im in the bios and hit select one file to update bios it says There isn't any Bios File in this ubs(root folder), please copy bios file to this usb key(root folder)

Did you uncompress the file and then place it in the root of the thumb drive? or just copy it compressed?

As can be found on the MSI site, it's an executable that has to be run from a pen drive. That new upgrade method started with BIOS version 19.0.

To anyone who has this issue in the future, I solved it. The issue is Windows 10.

The update tool they force you to use is only compatible with Windows 7.

I installed Windows 7 just to flash this bios. The tool was useless in 10, as the bios would stay at 17.3. After using the same tool in Windows 7, the bios has correctly flashed.

Good luck guys
