i need help with my ram issues, if i have more than one ram stick in my motherboard but my pc does not boot. It turns on but the screen is black.
I'm thinking that the ram slot is bad, what should i do, should i use other ram slots instead? I have a dell optiplex 7010, i use a hhd, i use 1rx8 ram, and have a gigabyte 1030 gpu.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the BIOS version that you're on for your motherboard, as you're able to get the system to POST with one stick of ram.

What is the make/model of your motherboard and the ram kit?

First, test each ram stick individually.
Run memtest86 or memtest86+
They boot from a usb stick and do not use windows.
You can download them here:
If you can run a full pass with NO errors, your ram should be ok.

If each stick runs ok, then there may be a motherboard ram slot issue.
