Here are my specs:
AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition
Intel i7-3770 3.4GHz
16.0GB RAM
64-bit Windows 10
My problem:
I just purchased a new Seiki 50" LED TV. My previous monitor was a 32" 720p TV. The computer is connected to the TV via HDMI. I never had any issues with the previous TV, but since I upgraded, I've been having problems whenever I launch DOOM3.
As soon as I launch DOOM, the game launched fine, but fine lines start appearing at the top of the screen. Within a second or two, screen becomes very jumpy, with various types of distortion on the screen. I exit relatively quickly (no lag whatsoever on the computer), and once exited, I have to restart my computer because the issue continues once the game is exited.
I've had the computer for 2 days, and so far this problem only appears when I launch DOOM3. I am playing the game in full-screen. I've alt-tabbed out of full-screen, the problem still exists. I've checked the game cache, and problem still exists. I've also changed which HDMI connector I'm using on the TV, with no change.
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated! I've been using computers since the mid-90s, and have a bit of a clue what I'm doing but have only recently started gaming again. Would love to be able to enjoy one of my all-time faves!
Please let me know if you require any additional info.
