Question Issues with Gigabyte B550 AORUS Pro AC

Hello everyone!
I encountered a weird behaviour for my MB (AORUS B550 Pro AC) and hope you can help me out.
After I finished build - everything works fine, no issues identified. However, when I power up my PC, I see that led indicators light up on MB. If I keep booting into Windows - the VGA one stays red constantly. No issues with graphics card though - performance is great, no issues on a heavy load - everything works.
However, if instead of booting into Windows I enter BIOS setup first, the indicator that is led is 'BOOT'. VGA is not lighting up. Then, when I exit BIOS setup \w or w\o saving and continue to boot into OS, no indication on MB is led, everything works fine. So essentially, to load without any error reporting led lights lightning on MB, I need to boot into Bios and exit from it.
As the one and only boot disk in the system, I use Kingstone 500Gb NVMe Gen4 SSD, installed into PCIe 4 slot.
Another observation is that initially, when I first tried booting the PC, I didn't yet have my graphics card at all and I was using the integrated HDMI slot on the motherboard. Yet I didn't manage to make it work - no matter what I did, the display didn't find the connection. Didn't test it afterwards, since I installed Auros RTX 2080S.
I ran out of ideas over what that might be, except for an issue with the integrated video.
It's not a deal breaker as it looks like everything is working fine, as I mentioned, however, I'm a little concerned over this in the long run. Aside from understanding what that might be, perhaps you could point me to some software or utility to test the performance and general health of my system or motherboard? I've been out of 'building PC' game for nearly a decade now and lost my expertise...
System config:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz AM4
RAM: G. SKILL Ripjaws V Classic Black DDR4 3600MHz 32GB Kit 2x16GB
SSD CORSAIR Force MP600 500GB M.2 NVMe
850W CORSAIR TX850M
BIOS updated to the latest version (F3).
Memory runs on 3600MHz

You have a Ryzen CPU. The motherboard graphics ports only work with an APU, e.g., 3200G/3400G, processor installed.

Thanks! Agree, that makes sense. I think I read that somewhere as well. Not that I need an integrated one.
Could it be that mb while booting up in a normal fashion, mb identifies this incompatibility issue with integrated graphics and signals about it?
But then, why it doesn't light up when I boot into Bios and then back to the system...

What the process is for identifying and initializing the hardware can be hard to figure out...not to mention what POST is doing to light and dim those LED's.

In the end, if your motherboard is working as expected I would not be concerned about the state of the lights.

Well, if you are such a control freak and an idealist as I am, you'd find it hard to just let it go =)
I got a response from Gigabyte support, which was not very helpful and essentially state the same fact @drea.drechsler mentioned on APU support and a suggestion to setup BIOS parameters for VGA Support to 'Auto' and CSM Support to Enabled.
Both parameters where in this state anyway, so it didn't help.
However, when I completely disabled the Fastboot in Bios, the issue got solved. Given I don't see any difference between Fastboot switched on and off, I decided to keep it that way.

I wondered what the Fastboot did in my Gigabyte B350 board, if other than just suppress the graphical logo screen. It didn't seem to make any difference in boot times.

With the latest BIOS for my B450 Mortar, though, MSI added a FastBoot option. The rather cryptic comment for the setting suggests it speeds up memory at startup. I suspect it suppresses some of the tests or training, but that's about it. Could be bad if you're not confident in your memory setup.

Good point on the memory. This might also be related somehow, since I've configured Bios to use 3600MHz instead of the default setting of 2k+ something.

Good morning all,

I am a newbie and bought a nice premounted PC from a company.
It was delivered failing immediately... NO POST
Here is my hardware
AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (3.8/4.6GHz 12-core)
CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 2X16Go 3600Mhz
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GDDR6X
GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC
SSD WD BLUE 1To NVME
BeQuiet DARK ROCK PRO 4
XIGMATEK GALAXY II PRO
GIGABYTE WIFI 6 AX Bluetooth 5.0
CORSAIR ICUE 465X WHITE
Corsair TX750M 80PLUS Gold
WINDOWS 10 HOME 64Bit

I recieved it faulty, the DRAM red led was on ont the MB.
after hours searching and alternating ram bars into diffrent slots, the only combination that worked was slot 1&2 ( it was received on slot 2 & 4). yep finally it started I had post and could access bios and OS.

I started discovering the BIOS finally and tested the Fastboot setting.

BOUM, after restart VGA led on the MB was on and no post again...

started to research the net again to find what was wrong.. without finding any real reason on why this happened, i tested all proposed solutions (sometimes for other models..

I switched my GPU to another IDE and it worked.
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b550-aorus-pro-ac_1001_e.pdf

Back in the business, working again.. BUT

My GPU on the lower IDE is touching the cables fixed on the lower part of the MB.. and one of the GPU fan is not turning because of this..

I upgraded the Bios to f11, tried CMOS reset, removing MB battery, no luck

the original IDE slot (the right one IDE16x, silver plated) is not working anymore, how can that be? I tried putting it back after BIOS upgrade, but no luck..(VGA led on)

Is there a way to reset this port so i Wouldn't have VGA red alarm light on MB and get POST working again from this slot?

Should i open a new post elsewhere?

Thanks for guiding me, I am so useless...

Laura
