Good day!

I have a new build. Specs below

CPU: i9-13900k

CPU cooler: NZXT kraken x73

Motherboard: Gigabyte z690 Aorus ultra

Ram: corsair vengeance 64gb(16x4) ddr5@4800mhz

SSD/HDD: WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe ( x 2)

GPU: EVGA 3070 TI FTW 3

PSU: EVGA supernova 1300 P+ 80+ platinum

Chassis: fractal design define 7 xl

OS: windows 11 (pro)

Monitor: ASUS ROG SWIFT (PG279QM)

When downloading some applications, the application downloads just fine. I have successfully installed a few things onto my computer.

ie, msi afterburner&rivatuner, discord, steam, battle net, rainmeter, the usual gamer applications.

I was attempting to install minecraft (after the download was complete) and epic games launcher. Minecraft stopped loading the update on the launcher at about 142mb/600mb. After a while the update errored out. I will need to recreate the scenario to see what the specific error was.

Epic games launcher installation was initiated at about 11pm MST last night when I went to bed. I woke up at about 6:30am and the installation was where I had left it at about 55% complete. No errors, nothing wrong with it, just not loading any further.

I stopped the installation, Uninstalled what was on my computer, and reinstated the installation. Again, it went to about 55% and then froze. I'm unsure what to do.

I have installed some programs just fine, it seems that these two are having issues and I'm not sure why. It may be associated with more programs as well.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Out of curiosity, did you recycle the OS from an older build, perhaps?

No.

The operating system is a new windows 11 key. I will update my specs to include everything.

I apologize as I did not think anything outside the motherboard and data processing items would be necessary. I'll include the rest of those details in my original post.

Regarding the EGS launcher, do you by any chance 360 Total Security AV installed on your system ? If you can't install your antivirus program might be interfering. Just temporarily disable your antivirus software and see what happens.

There might be other AV that might interfere, but "360 Total Security AV" has a known issue with Epic Games Launcher for some odd reason. Also, make sure you have read/write access to the selected install path, where you are installing epic games launcher.

Nothing shows up when I search for add or remove programs.

Also, I'm the administrator on the device, so I do have read/write access to all drives on the PC.

You mean there is no 360 Total Security AV software mentioned in the add/remove programs list? Then most likely you don't have it installed on your system. Check for other installed AV software as well, if any.

If you are the admin then I don't think you need access for any driver or folder.
