I'm getting extremely frustrated trying to figure this one out.
So I just started a new game and when I loaded it, my headphones started making a really loud static noise. Simply thinking it could be the game, I tested out a couple of videos and to my disappointment, it continued.
I replugged the headphones into my phone to see if they were the issues; however, they work fine.

Note: I currently don't have speakers so I am forced to use headphones on my PC.

Browsing the Internet for help I found a few things to help. The only problem is what I found was more of an issue.

I disabled my audio driver in hopes that re-enabling it would stop the issue; however, now the driver is stating that I don't have any compatible hardware in order to download the driver.
Therefore I now have NO audio.

If anyone could help me out that would be most appreciated.... even if the solution is as simple as unplugging something.

Specs:
-Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (integrated graphics)
-No graphics card. :C
-EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card
-Windows 8.1 64bit

Solution
Install the audio driver that came with MOBO. There is an easy solution to all this. Buy a USB sound card and plug your headphone there and use your headphone as usb device. and they are pretty cheap so no problem there. Cheaper than you think.
