Issues with sound through headphones (worsened since I upgraded my GPU)

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but whatever.

So, I've been having issues with hearing static while having my headphones being plugged into the jack in the back, as well as the one on my case. It tends to get louder whenever my cursor hovers over something, strangely, and is generally restricted until audio lines in games finish, and then plays immediately afterwards before stopping. While surfing the web it happens all the time, and it gets especially bad if I alt+tab while playing a game. After I switched from my old GPU to my current one, it generally decreased the volume my headphones make when plugged into my computer, and since I have to majorly turn up the volume to even hear anything, it makes the static much louder and even more unbearable. I tried plugging my headphones into my monitor, and that solved all my problems, but I'd like to be able to use my mic, so that doesn't really help.

This is my motherboard, this is my monitor, I have a pair of Urbanears Plattans, and I use a generic 3.55 mm audio splitter to use my mic, as the headphones are two-in-one headphones and mic. I have my computer connected to my monitor via an HDMI cable, but for some reason can't get it to do audio, as Playback Devices doesn't register that anything is plugged in.

I would love getting this static problem solved, as it's incredibly irritating. Any help with fixing the strange volume reduction problem would also be appreciated, as I can't seem to find a way to fix that, either.

It could be from many things. I myself experience this sometimes as well when playing games on my system. Its probably Coil Whine. Coil Whine is caused by the components in your build working really hard and can cause undesirable noise to come through your head phones more info here: https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjb_IfmjZ7LAhXIFpQKHSfYCGsQyCkIHjAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DHP73edpQwgc&usg=AFQjCNEe8b3gdIOWCICjc3Uu15JS-EpnDQ&sig2=lRpfnMS31tqVjl0Id5GKJQ

But it could also be something in your case. There could be static being made by components in your case which mess with your audio ports and that could be why the problem is fixed when you plug your headphones into your monitor. The way I fixed this problem is by buying a cheap USB sound card for about $1 on eBay that has both audio and mic ports. It fixed the problem for me so it might do the same for you.
