Hi,
I have a SSD drive I'm having issues with. It's a verbatim Vi550 S3 1TB. I'm running windows 11 and have a gigabyte motherboard. It's a custom made computer I got from paradigit and have for about a year. The first problem was when it was going to bios and couldn't find a bootable device. I then reattached the ssd to the motherboard and that fixed it for a while. But then I started getting BSOD crashes. I reinstalled windows and it was fine for a while but then about two days later it crashed again. I'm using it right now so it is usable but with unpredictable crashes.

I'm not sure if it is an issue with drivers. I checked the drivers for the hard drive and they dated from 2006 which was weird but I wasn't able to update them in windows. I was advised by paradigit to try and download drivers from verbatim's website but I actually can't find a download link anywhere. Maybe it was a windows update that affected it I'm not sure. I also got a message about a USB device not being recognised but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I'm not using any new USB devices just a game controller and webcam that I've had for ages.

I would appreciate any suggestions of what to try. I will probably try to send it back to paradigit as it's under warranty but it would be nice to fix it myself if I can.

Diagnose the drive.
Verbatim doesn't seem to have any manufacturer specific ssd tool download available.
Use Hdtune health, show screenshot.

How old is this drive?
I'm not sure how old it is. The hard drive is in a metal box(inside the tower) and hard to get at.

Reseat the sata data cable both ends.

Reseat the disk power cable both ends if modular psu.

Test.

I had another crash. This time before it happened there were weird visual errors. The website I was looking at had little holes and glitches on it. I'm gonna send it back but just wondering if anyone had any theories as to what is happening.
