It won't start downloading windows 10

I have Windows 7 installed and I decided to move to windows 10. I opened update tab and clicked update but nothing is happening. There is a circle moving and it and below writes "starting downloading."

it's easier to do the upgrade with the media creation tool. get it here. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/

run the file and select "upgrade this pc" and it will do the whole install for you probably much quicker than through win update. back up any data you need in case something goes wrong which is always a possibility.

it stopped when it was searching for updates

yes i know. there is a fix for just getting win 7 updates i have outlined here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3062210/windows-update-roll-released.html but that does not apply to you trying to get win 10.

so again use the tool i posted above and the update to win 10 be done quickly and easily
