my pc used to run smite at high settings with no lag but now it lags (not only smite it could run overwatch,trove,rocket league but now it lags)

The problem I see with your rig is that it is very low end. I would reccomend upgrading the gpu and cpu

You'll probably find that you can lay blame on the software, everything from the game updates to the OS. While still driver supported, the 500 series really doesn't see any game optimizations anymore as newer games are designed to be run on higher grade gpus such as the 9 and 10 series. As the games are updated they also include higher details etc to make them look less like minecraft at 4k. As Robin Williams put it so aptly, you are getting 'outmoded'.

It's possible that your computer appears to get slower over time due to Windows becoming bloated with extra programs and files. If you are the type who installs and uninstalls programs and games all the time then this can easily happen. This can be fixed by doing a clean install of Windows and starting fresh.

Before you do that, use a utility like MSI Afterburner to check CPU and GPU usage while you play your games. If either of them is hitting 100% or very close to it then you know your component simply can't keep up anymore. Use Task Manager to check CPU performance while you are idle on your desktop. The percentage in use should be very low. If you are getting large CPU use while doing nothing on your desktop, then there is something running in the background and it's using CPU resources. You need to find out what that is if it's happening.
